Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) 2027 Latest Updates 

• Registration Window: The CEED 2027 registration is expected to open in late September/early October 2026 and close in early November 2026 (tentative). The exact dates are expected to be announced by IIT Bombay.
• Late Registration: Candidates who miss the regular deadline can typically apply with a late fee during a short extended window; details are expected to be announced with the official schedule.

• Application Fee: For the 2026 session, General and OBC category candidates paid a non-refundable fee of Rs 3,800, while SC, ST, PwD, and female candidates paid Rs 1,900. The 2027 fee structure is expected to be announced by IIT Bombay.
• Admit Card: The CEED 2027 admit card is expected to be released in January 2027 on the official website — www.ceed.iitb.ac.in.
• Exam Date: CEED 2027 is tentatively scheduled for 22 January 2027. The official confirmation is expected to be announced by IIT Bombay.
• Result Announcement: The CEED 2027 result is expected to be declared in March 2027; the exact date is awaited.
• Acceptance of Scores: CEED 2027 scores will be accepted for admission to postgraduate design programmes at several IITs and other institutes. UCEED 2027 scores are accepted for Bachelor of Design (BDes) admissions at participating institutions.

CEED 2027 Application Form

CEED 2027 Application Form is expected to be released in late September / early October 2026 (tentative). Candidates can check all the details below about CEED 2027 Registration.

• The candidate who wants to appear for CEED 2027 can fill the Application Form, available on the official website (www.ceedit.ac.in). 
• The Application forms will be available online only, so the candidate will have to Download and Submit the Application form as there are no other ways of filling it. 
• Candidates must fill in all the required details carefully and upload the document as per the prescribed format.
• Applications will only be accepted once the payment has been made for the Application form.
• Candidates have to select three exam centers based on their preferences at the time of registration. 
• If the application form is incomplete in any respect, it will be summarily rejected, and the registration will be considered invalid.

CEED 2027 Application Fee 

The application fee varies for different sections of society. Candidates can check the fee structure for various categories given below in the table. 

• Candidates can pay the CEED application fee through online mode only using any of the following modes:
  • Debit card
  • Credit card
  • Net Banking

• The application fee, once remitted, will not be refunded under any circumstances.
• The Registration fee does not include service or other charges possess by the banks.
• For candidates who don’t pay the fee on time for them, the late fee is Rs. 500/-

CEED 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to apply for the Common Entrance Exam for Design must fulfill the CEED 2027 eligibility before filling the application form. For that, candidates can check the eligibility criteria that are provided below:

• There is no age bar to appear for CEED.

• There is no attempt limit. A candidate can appear for CEED any number of times.

• After the 10+2 level, Candidates must have passed a degree/diploma/postgraduate degree of 3 years.

OR

• The candidate must be appearing for the final examination of a degree, diploma, or postgraduate programme by July of the admission year.

OR

• The candidate must have passed the GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level) by July of the admission year; otherwise, the candidate cannot apply.

CEED 2027 Admit Card

• Corrections in the CEED 2027 Admit Card, if required, can be made within the window specified by IIT Bombay.
• Candidates must download the Admit Card online by visiting the official page and clicking on the 'Download Admit Card' button.
• Enter the registered email address and password to access and download the admit card.
• Candidates must take a printout of the Admit Card, as the examination department will not provide any hard copy.
• Carry the printout of the Admit Card — with a passport-size photograph affixed — on the day of the examination.

CEED 2027 Exam Pattern

There are a few changes introduced in the CEED 2027 exam pattern this year. Candidates must go through the new paper pattern of CEED to understand the format and distribution of questions in the Common Entrance Exam for Design 2027.

• Mode of Exam: The exam will be conducted online as well as offline mode. 
• Duration: The total duration of the exam will be about 180 minutes (3 hours). Time has to be managed by giving 01 hours to Section A and 02 hours to Section B.
• Total Marks: The question paper will be of 200 marks.

Candidates have to choose 3 cities of their choice of preference out of the 24 examination centers of CEED 2027 at the time of registration. CEED 2027 Results

• Before the declaration of results, answer sheets will also be released on the official website. Candidates can review the released answer sheet at that time.
• To check results, candidates must log in to the CEED 2027 result portal using their registered email ID and password.
• No hard copy of the CEED 2027 results will be dispatched to candidates by any mode.

CEED 2027 Counselling

After the Results declaration, CEED 2027 counselling process will begin. Candidates who qualify for the exam will be shortlisted for counselling and can check the dates of counselling on the official portal. 

• Every candidate must take their original and photocopies of mandatory documents such as scorecard, Admit Card, passport size coloured photographs, Class 10th, and 12th mark sheet, and certificates at the time of counselling.
• If any candidate fails to carry the required documents and certificates for counselling, they will not be considered eligible for admission. It is also important for the qualified candidates to download the call letter and bring it along with them while appearing for the Counselling.

CEED 2027 Answer Key
